Calling all defenders of equality! |

As many of you know, marriage equality is a hot topic right now. There are not one but three bills currently under consideration in Parliament to change the definition of marriage to include same-sex couples.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard has herself said marriage equality is inevitable.
But it is only inevitable if we - gay, lesbian, and all others - keep pushing and applying the pressure, keep believing and most importantly, keep lobbying our politicians to support the cause.

Marriage Equality Inquiries |
|
With numerous bills before Federal Parliament and a couple of parliamentary inquiries, marriage equality is a key focus for Australian politics in 2012. There are a number of ways you can show your support for marriage equality by making submissions to the following:
- The Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee Inquiry in on the Marriage Equality Amendment Bill 2010;
- The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Social Policy and Legal Affairs Inquiry into the Marriage Equality Amendment Bill 2012 and the Marriage Amendment Bill 2012; and
- A Notice of Motion in support of marriage equality tabled in the NSW Legislative Council.
