10 October 2006 - Kidz Day OUT

The Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby together with the GLL@M Committee of Marrickville Council present a free interactive show for ALL families of all ages – Kidz Day OUT! If you don’t have a kid, borrow one, but don’t miss out!

A unique combination of performers will come together for a show guaranteed to delight the audience, celebrating and welcoming all families. “This will be such a good opportunity for the diverse Marrickville community to celebrate all the fun things about gay and lesbian culture – in a family-friendly atmosphere,” says Laurie Berg from the Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby. “We are looking forward to providing a stage for some great local talent and everyone is welcome!”

Hosting Kids Day OUT is singer/comedienne Denise Hanlon, who has developed a strong Sydney fan base over the last few years through her appearances at Fair Day and the Great Debate. And the award-winning Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir has selected a bracket of interactive pieces with the young audience in mind, giving some lucky youngster a chance to be a conductor! Impro Inferno - the favourite choose-your-own-adventure comedy theatre gang – will also appear at Kidz Day OUT. A favourite with children 8 and up - you never know what they'll do next because they don't either!

Lots more fun and entertainment – a belly dancing dance-off, a unique Seussical Performance by David Moutou, free healthy kidz snacks, story-telling activities for pre-schoolers and performances by local students.

Kidz Day OUT will be held on 19 November 2006 from 2-5pm at Marrickville Town Hall.
