We're holding our 2013 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 6th November 2013 at 6:30pm, at ACON, 414 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010.

The AGM provides an opportunity for the Committee of Management to meet with members, to provide our thoughts on the development of the Lobby and to answer any questions you may have in relation to our activities, so we encourage all members to attend.

All positions on the NSW Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby Committee of Management are vacated at the commencement of the AGM, so we are now accepting expressions of interest for the 2013-14 Committee. The election will be held by secret ballot at the AGM. Proxies will not be available and by not attending the AGM you will preclude yourself from voting. Nominations are being accepted for the following positions:

• Female Co-Convenor 
• Male Co-Convenor 
• Treasurer 
• Secretary 
• Female members (five including the Female Co-Convenor) 
• Male members (five including the Male Co-Convenor) 
• General members (five not limited by gender. These positions include Treasurer and Secretary)

Committee of Management places are only available to full members with current membership. • Name; 
• Position(s) you are seeking to apply for (you can apply for more than one position on the Committee, but you can only be elected to one position); and 
• Brief biography (100-150 words) describing your expertise and why you would like to be on the GLRL Management Committee

All nominations for the Committee must be received by 5pm Tuesday 5th November. Unless you have renewed or taken up membership with the GLRL since 1 July 2013, all memberships paid over the 2012/13 financial year will lapse the day of the AGM. You will be required to renew or apply for membership to have voting rights by 6:00pm on Wednesday 6th November 2013. To renew your membership, complete the online membership form, or forms will be available at the AGM.

As soon as practicable following the poll, the results of the voting will be announced at the meeting.
