Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby

Candidate Responses

Candidates in NSW were asked to outline their personal commitments to gay and lesbian people in their electorate. All candidates had the option of supplementing their party’s response with a further personal response to the individual survey.

All candidates were emailed an individual version of the survey to fill out or invited to send their own message of commitment. We used the email addresses published on party websites and followed up candidates in marginal and key seats.

Individual responses were received from six candidates:

Several individuals chose not to complete the individual survey, but showed support by personally forwarding a copy of their party position to us. Where possible, we have provided a link to the websites of these candidates.
