Be an informed voter this Federal Election To help inform your vote in the upcoming 2013 Federal Election to be held on 7 September 2013, a range of LGBTI organisations have surveyed the three political parties about the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans* and intersex (LGBTI) related policy positions. On this page you can read their full responses below to our survey with 12 topics and 42 questions and look over a summary assessment of their responses indicating if they have answered the question with a good, partial or bad answer, or not even answered it at all. This summary of the three major parties’ responses, along with the assessment of their questions will assist members of the LGBTI communities, and people interested in LGBTI policy issues, to determine their own vote. The survey was compiled as a joint initiative between the NSW Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby (NSW GLRL), Transgender Victoria (TGV), the Victorian Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby (VGLRL) and Organisation Intersex International Australia (OII Australia). Melbourne will host the LGBTI 2013 Election Forum on Saturday 31 August 2013 from 2:30 onwards.
