After a nineteen year battle, NSW finally has an equal age of consent! The Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby would like to convey a heartfelt thanks to the countless number of organisations and individuals who for so long have campaigned for this reform. This significant achievement is a tribute to the collective effort and strength of our community and supporters. We will soon be announcing the details of a community event to celebrate this success. Please watch community media or contact the GLRL for details. Despite this win, there are still many laws which discriminate against lesbians and gay men. And then... the brides changed nappies Final Report - April 2003 The Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby has released its final report on parenting law reform, And then the Brides Changed Nappies. The report is based on community consultations with parents in Sydney, Newcastle and Lismore through late 2002 and early 2003.This report, authored by a legal academic and family law specialist Jenni Millbank, will form the basis for the lobby’s work on parenting reform in the future.
